EAS Newsletter #1 March 2021

News from the European Aligner Society in an EASy to digest format

Issue 1, March 2021

Welcome to the first issue of EASy Update which we have launched to provide news from the European Aligner Society in an EASy to digest format. We aim to create quarterly editions of the update to share the latest intelligence about clear aligner therapy with a European accent.
In future issues we aim to share updates about our congresses and virtual meetings so you can learn about new speakers who have agreed to present and the latest registration, travel (if Covid restrictions allow) and booking advice to help you plan ahead.
The EAS team also has its ear to the ground about the latest professional developments likely to affect our membership and we will relate these in future issues too.
We will also share the latest treatment updates and news from EAS’ supporters, companies which are the life blood of our Society, providing financial sponsorship and funding to bring you the best worldwide speakers to address our events.
If we find we have more news to relate, or receive a healthy flow of feedback from members and supporters we can up the frequency of the EASy Update. We would also welcome your news, your suggestions for future inclusion and your requests to feature one of your Clinical Pearls, so please do. The contact details are at the end of this edition.

The 3rd EAS Congress has been rescheduled and is due to take place in Malta between 7-9 October 2021.
For those of you who cannot wait for their next dose of clear aligner learning, the Society’s website is an invaluable repository of filmed lectures from the 1st Congress 2016 in Vienna, 2nd Congress 2018 and Spring Meeting 2019 in Venice, as well as the Autumn Virtual Meeting 2020 which took place in November.

One of the benefits of Society membership is free access to relive the meetings. If you would like to refresh your memories about the privilege of hearing some of the world’s most eminent speakers deliver lectures on aligner treatments and technologies, you can view some of them on-demand from the website, and order others, which have been edited to a USB key and sent by courier in a secure metal box. Use them to refresh your understanding and educate members of your team.
If you have yet to sign up for membership, this is another good reason to consider doing so now at www.eas-aligners.com as there has never been a better time to learn from some of the leading clinicians of the new orthodontic era.
