The limitation of directly 3D printed resins was, that up to the introduction of our recent resin developments, previous attempts for making durable and resistant aligners by other suppliers, resulted in fragile aligners, with lower performance rates than thermoformed sheets. Our 3D resins for printing aligners are ultra-resistant and are based on bioplastics, consequently, are more eco-friendly than the currently used materials.
As you may know, direct printing of aligners is faster and more cost effective than the existing process for making aligners by dental model printing and vacuum thermoforming of sheets.
